ProFlex 120 set to take centre stage at the 2018 BTME show

By Grassgroup, January 17, 2018 1:24 pm

We will be returning to BTME next week ready to talk to you about our range of grounds maintenance products. As UK distributor for many brands we can assist you with just about every area of grounds upkeep. Come and discuss your requirements with us, be it Grass cutting, scarification, soil renovation, aeration or anything else.

When you have large areas of land with slopes and undulations you need a mower that is going to handle the contours with ease and ensure a top quality results at the same time.

Look no further, our star of the show will be the Progressive ProFlex 120 it is absolutely the mower for the job. The main feature that makes this mower stand out from the competition and perform so well as a contour mower are the floating decks – 5 decks in total that sit on the main frame. Essentially 5 walk behind mowers in one, you can’t get a better contour cut from a trailed machine than you do with the Pro-Flex. Each independent floating deck has shock absorbers to reduce deck bounce as the mower travels over uneven ground and the unique 4-way rotating swivel hitch allows the tractor and mower to travel across uneven terrain without affecting one another and offering a 10 foot cutting width.

Although well regarded as a rough mower, the Pro-Flex is equally at home on a fairway due to the quality of cut and the after cut appearance, making it ideal and not just for the more value conscious.

Progressive have really given some thought to the manoeuvrability of this machine. This piece of equipment is not only easily negotiable around trees, but Progressive’s exclusive Pro Lift-N-Turn™ feature is easy to operate and ideal when engaging the PTO or when crossing a path. The four way swivel hatch allows the mower to track contours independently of the tractor while remaining true to the tractor and the full frame provides the ability to mow even while backing up.

Developed and tested over several years, the new maintenance free blade spindle is completely interchangeable with a greased spindle that is found on earlier models, the same spindle housing is used providing wide spacing between the bearings, ensuring low bearing loading and long service life. Maintenance free blade spindles not only provide peace of mind concerning a missed service, they also reduce overall maintenance time and costs.

With the goal to lower ongoing maintenance costs, the Pro-Flex is equipped with rubber-damped, automatic belt tensioners, offering several cost saving benefits. All of the upper drive and deck belts are tensioned using rubber-damped, automatic tensioners. All spring type tensioners have been eliminated so there are now fewer moving parts for greater long term reliability. The Pro-Flex is also equipped with PTO shafts that feature a 100 hour lubrication interval. All in all, this means routine servicing is faster and easier so there is more time for mowing – win win! For those of you who might already own an older Pro-Flex and thinking of a new one for 2018 here is a summary of the newest features:

Maintenance Free Blade Spindle

Pro Lift’N’Turn

Automatic Wing Lock Valve

Rubber Damped, Automatic Belt Tensioners

100 Hour PTO Shaft Greasing Intervals

If you require an anti-scalp contour mower there is absolutely no need to compromise on quality. It is clear that the Pro-Flex is the ultimate choice. We will be at BTME between Tuesday 23rd – 25th January if you would like to come and find out more or contact us to book your demo today.

Its sno’w barrier – Harrogate a great success

By Grassgroup, February 28, 2013 8:45 pm

The Grass Group at BTME 2013

The BTME show was a great success in spite of the snow doing its best to disrupt transport countrywide.  There seemed to be very little drop off of visitors even though it was an “off” year and the big boys had not come out to play!  The INFiNiSystem was the main attraction as it presented  both bigger and smaller clubs with a complete range of options combining the use of the cassettes on a hybrid pedestrian and on greens triples.  Interest in the RotaDairon RD140 overseeder continued and we are looking forward to get demonstrating when the weather finally allows.  There was always greenkeepers around the JD tractor and TriloS3 outside which we had placed out the front of the hall for the smokers to look at!!

Harrogate takeover by The Grass Group

By Grassgroup, February 7, 2012 4:13 pm

Going to Harrogate for the BTME is always exciting.  It offers the first opportunity of the New Year to get to talk to a large number of potential customers.  2012 did not disappoint.  Having the first stand in Hall A meant we were hit first by the tidal wave of visitors! It was clear it was going to be a busy show and Wednesday proved to be even busier than the Tuesday.

Talking to green keepers and dealers alike there was a general consensus that while we were not out of the woods yet things were looking brighter and that having got this far everyone was taking a positive approach is the jobs still needed doing.

There was a good deal of interest in the new INFiNiPower both as a hybrid and a battery powered unit.  Both were on the stand and everyone was impressed when they realised it was the same machine with different power options that were so quick and easy to change over you do it in minutes on the course. In addition to that the TM System cassettes were drawing a lot of serious interest and we have already taken some orders from visiting green keepers.

We booked quite a few demonstrations for the Trilo VCU scarifier and blower.  Both of which are priced to reflect Trilo’s drive to designed a product using the latest manufacturing techniques to deliver quality at a competitive price.

Having the Progressive Proflex 120 outside Hall A reminded everyone what a good straight forward reliable machine it is and when looking for value for money sometimes the answer is right in front of them!

With the new season just round the corner the RotaDairon overseeder attracted many green keepers attention.  It is widely accepted that RotaDairon build top quality machines and the RGD140 is no exception delivering a superb finish with incredible precision economising seed and optimising seed establishment.

All in all a great show!
